Deputies were told that on Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. a passer-by on Hillbend Lane NE observed three children in a yard and nearby saw an older man stopped in a white, newer sedan holding a white puppy, said sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Ken Dickinson.

“It looked like he was motioning to the kids, saying come here,” Dickinson said, reading from a report. Dickinson said the make and model of the car were unknown?but it could be a Hyundai.

The driver looked at the man and he drove away. As the driver continued down the road she decided to turn around and notify the family at the house. When she returned the man had returned but then left again.

Those with information on the incident can call Detective Sean Kirkwood at 360 337 5636.
